Two-year Academic Course in Pop Rock Composition

Designed for the new generation of producers and composers.
A complete teaching based on the triad of composing, creating and producing, for a Second Level Academic Diploma course dedicated to the producers of tomorrow, 
to those who aspire and aspire to be the reference figure alongside the great artists of the national and international scene, as well as to personally curate their own productions.

A highly professionalized path in which, starting from the three-year academic period, key subjects such as musical informatics, composition and arrangement, improvisation techniques, audio programming and musical applications are tackled, as well as harmony, ear training, history of music. 
In the two-year period, the characterizing subjects relating to compositional techniques such as production, film scoring, contemporary writing, technologies and techniques of filming and audio recording and much more are also explored in depth. A year also full of masterclasses, workshops and practical studies on live electronics performance environments, for a course that combines practice and theory. 

The course will be led by Diego Maggi and Lorenzo Cazzaniga, as Section Managers. With them: Fabio Nuzzolese, Mell Morcone, Giovanni Boscariol and Gabriele Comeglio.

On Friday 25 October, at 6.30 pm, "Suonare il Country" will be presented, the book written by our Teacher at the Three-Year Academic Guitar Course Claudio Bazzari and Milo Bazzari and published by CPM Music Publishing. Following this, the two authors will perform, interpreting some songs taken from the Country and Blues repertoire. Free entry.

“Playing Country” tells of a style of music, country, strongly rooted in the culture and history of the United States of America, which was shaped during the 20th century and from which numerous styles such as bluegrass and rockabilly were born . With this book the two authors offer a synthesis of the most used guitar techniques and an anthology of original songs where you can immediately put these techniques into practice and develop your own phrasing. Use of open strings, rhythmic strings, hybrid picking, Travis picking, pedal steel, pentatonic scales, scale harmonization for intervals of thirds and sixths, fundamental elements which find an exhaustive, simple and effective treatment in this book. All examples are equipped with audio and related backing tracks.

The book is full of practical advice on how to obtain the twang, or rather the typical guitar sound characteristic of country music, and there is a recommended discography to learn more about this fascinating musical genre.

In Italy, currently, there are few courses, recognized by the MUR, dedicated to the training of this professional figure. One of these is the Academic Diploma Course in Sound Technician of the CPM Music Institute. Acquire the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary to enter the world of work. 

The Sound Technician course 

30 of the most authoritative professionals in the field of sound engineering make up the teaching body of the Sound Technician course, of which Lorenzo Cazzaniga is the Department Head. The studio touches on all aspects of sound and boasts the presence of teachers among the such as Diego Maggi, Taketo Gohara, Giovanni Boscariol, Alex Trecarichi, Marco Barusso. 
 
3 years of training in which all the theoretical and technical aspects are addressed aimed at creating a complete figure, capable of working both in the recording studio and in live contexts: from theoretical subjects such as acoustics, IT and electronics, to microphone recordings, to laboratories , from DAWs such as Pro Tools, Logic and Ableton, to the practice of recording, mixing and mastering. 
 
The annual amount of hours is between 583 and 608 hours and includes lessons on site and in associated recording studios such as Alari Park Studios and Core-T-Zone, as well as practice in live contexts.
