From November 17 to 20, 2025, the CPM Music Institute in Milan once again shines a spotlight on great names in music and top-level training with its Open Week — four days of masterclasses, talks, and performances involving students, artists, and music enthusiasts.
The event offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the life of the Institute founded by Franco Mussida, featuring both public events and activities reserved exclusively for CPM students.

Expressive Modeled Instruments for Performance and Music Production – with Audio Modeling
Audio Modeling is a world leader in digital emulation of expressive multi-vector acoustic instruments, founded on technology developed by Stefano Lucato and Emanuele Parravicini. After over seven years of intensive research on modeled virtual instruments, the two Italian professionals established the software company in 2017.

Guitarist and composer Ivano Icardi brings his trio to Milano Music Week for a special masterclass/concert. On stage with him: Elio Rivagli (drums) and Andrea Torresani (bass) — an outstanding ensemble. The event delves into timing, groove, and interplay among musicians, combining live performance, technical analysis, and Q&A. Organized in collaboration with Ibanez and introduced by Stefano “Sebo” Xotta, it’s a unique opportunity to explore modern musical language with three leading figures of the Italian scene.

Keyboards Masterclass “Live Synthesis Lab: Sound Design for Live Performance” – with Manuele Montesanti (in collaboration with Yamaha)
Manuele Montesanti is a pianist, keyboardist, and sound designer. After classical studies at the “Santa Cecilia” Conservatory in Rome, he specialized in Harmony, Composition, and Arrangement at the University of Music in Rome. Having started as a session player for major TV and pop productions (RAI, Mediaset), he now works extensively as an arranger and sound designer for musical productions, film scores, and music software/hardware development (Yamaha, IK Multimedia, AudioThing, GSI, and others).

About CPM Open WeekThe CPM Music Institute’s Open Weeks are a key part of the school’s academic calendar, offering students the chance to immerse themselves in an environment rich with artistic and professional inspiration. Held twice a year, in May and November, these special weeks suspend regular classes to make room for concerts, seminars, talks, and masterclasses led by renowned figures from the worlds of Rock, Pop, Jazz, Funk, and Electronic music.
During Open Week, the CPM Theatre stage becomes a crossroads of experiences where established and emerging artists share their skills and stories with students, creating unique moments of growth and exchange.
