La Fondazione Lelio Luttazzi, nell'ambito della celebrazione del centenario di Lelio Luttazzi (sotto l'egida della Presidenza della Repubblica), presenta una serata insieme alla Big Band Jazz Company del Maestro Gabriele Comeglio per ricordare la sua musica e presentare, in collaborazione con la Universal Music, la ristampa del Vinile “30 anni di swing” di Lelio Luttazzi a tiratura limitata e numerata, uscito nel 1961 per la Columbia.

Il concerto, organizzato al Blue Note, vede sul palco una delle più affermate big band italiane, Big Band Jazz Company, che conta tra le sue fila alcuni dei più illustri musicisti italiani, con anni di carriera alle spalle nonché i nostri Gabriele Comeglio Docente di Tecniche di improvvisazione e Orchestrazione al corso Accademico triennale di Composizione Pop Rock e Caterina Comeglio Docente di Canto Soul&Jazz al corso Accademico di Canto Pop Rock in veste di vocalist insieme a Maggie Charlton.

Per l'occasione, 6 studenti CPM laureandi al corso di Composizione Pop Rock, seguiti e guidati dal M° Comeglio, hanno realizzato l'orchestrazione di due brani dell'album, che verranno eseguiti dal vivo per la prima volta, dei quali un "inedito", di Luttazzi, mai eseguito con la big band. Il corso di laurea include infatti un modulo dedicato all’orchestrazione per strumenti "veri".

The collaboration between our music school and the prestigious Campiello literary prize, now in its 62nd edition, is renewed for the 4th consecutive year.

CPM Music Institute, the school of Higher Artistic Education in Milan founded and directed by Franco Mussida, and Premio Campiello Giovani for the 4th consecutive year renew the collaboration project "NOTES AND WORDS", a special initiative which sees the students of the CPM, enrolled in the Pop Rock Composition course and followed by the Artistic Managers Sandro Mussida and Alessandro Spoldi, work with the young finalist writers of one of the most important awards on the Italian publishing scene now in its 29th edition.

The compositions created as part of the project conceived by Franco Mussida were presented during the final of the Campiello Giovani at the Goldoni Theater in Venice. An appointment, by invitation, during which the band of the CPM Music Institute, the CPM Ultra Pop Band, performed live the compositions born from the collaboration between the students of the CPM Music Institute and the finalists of the Campiello Giovani, while the actors of the Tetro Stabile del Veneto – Teatro Nazionale read some excerpts from the stories, accompanied by the choreographies of the Diaghilev Venice Dance School, founded by Francesca Siega.

Dave Weckl Masterclass 

Masterclass open to CPM students and external guests organized by Ponderosa Music&art for the Milanese music festival JAZZMI, in collaboration with the CPM Music Institute.

The masterclass is part of the calendar of the 9th edition of JAZZMI, a Milanese music festival which from 17 October to 13 November brings not only Jazz music to theatres, clubs and alternative spaces, but also films, exhibitions and meetings with artists . Dave Weckl himself will be the protagonist on November 6th with the project The Dave Weckl/Tom Kennedy Project at the Teatro Triennale Milano. On the JAZZMI website you can consult the calendar of the 3 weeks of events.

Participants will have the opportunity to ask for insights into musical, stylistic and improvisational aspects and to interact with one of the most influential and technically gifted jazz/fusion drummers of all time.

Dave Weckl, born in 1960, is a world-renowned American drummer, teacher, session musician and producer, considered one of the most influential jazz/fusion drummers. His numerous collaborations with artists of the caliber of George Benson, Chick Corea, Paul Simon, Art Garfunkel, Michel Camilo, Madonna, Mike Stern, Frank Gambale, John Patitucci, Jeff Berlin, Michael Brecker, Diana Ross, Robert Plant, Lee Ritenour, Alan Pasqua, Marco Mendoza, Brandon Fields Group, Oz Noy. He is the leader of his own group, the Dave Weckl Band Project.
