Marc Ribot at CPM Music Institute – Concert and Masterclass

The following day, Saturday, October 25, he will hold an exclusive masterclass open to students, musicians and enthusiasts.

Marc Ribot is a renowned American guitarist, born in Newark in 1954, celebrated for his eclectic style and ability to move across genres such as free jazz, no wave, rock and world music, with influences from American, Cuban and Haitian folk traditions.
He has collaborated with artists including Tom Waits, John Zorn, Elvis Costello and Vinicio Capossela, and is the author of numerous solo albums and projects. His career has been documented in the film The Lost String and he is the author of Unstrung: Rants and Stories of a Noise Guitarist.

In recent years, CPM has hosted numerous masterclasses by international artists – Dave Weckl, Deke Sharon, Jeremy Nattagh, to name just a few – confirming itself as a true and ongoing bridge between education, performance and the professional music world.
