Nicola Oliva is an Italian guitarist, composer and arranger, known for his musical versatility and the prestigious collaborations that have dotted his career.
Born with a great passion for music, he perfected his training at the CPM Music Institute in Milan, the most renowned school for music professionals in Italy.
Education
He began playing as a self-taught musician at the tender age of 3, alternating between drums, bass and guitar, following the example of his father and grandfather.
In 2003 he perfected his studies at the CPM Music Institute where, still a student, he had the opportunity to accompany artists such as Ron, Elisa, Gianni Morandi, Paolo Vallesi, Frank Gambale and Maurizio Colonna.
Between 2005 and 2006 he won important international competitions. In 2006 he appeared for the first time on RAI 1, winning the challenge for "l'Orchestra del Domani" by Pippo Baudo. In June 2009 he went on tour with Ornella Vanoni, starting a very long collaboration both live and in the studio that would last for over ten years and that would lead Nicola to tread the most important stages of the Italian music scene.
The turning point with Laura Pausini
From 2011 to 2018 he was a guitarist for Laura Pausini. With her he trod the most important stages in the world, contributing to the sound of her 4 international tours (2011-2018) and recording in 7 of her albums.
With over a decade of experience at the highest levels, Nicola has established himself as one of the most sought-after guitarists on the Italian music scene, a point of reference for young musicians and appreciated by colleagues and producers for his creativity and artistic sensitivity.
