An Abruzzo talent wins the Zecchino d'Oro
Rebecca Pecoriello, a young singer-songwriter from Pescara and a graduate of the Songwriting course at the CPM Music Institute, triumphed at the 67th edition of the Zecchino d'Oro, aired on Rai 1 and hosted by Carlo Conti, with her moving song "Diventare un albero" (Becoming a Tree). The song - which she co-wrote with Luca Argentero, Nicola Marotta, and Stefano Francioni - tells the importance of experiencing the different phases of growth.
Rebecca's victory is a true triumph for Abruzzo's talent and a recognition of the CPM's excellent training. Her song, a hymn to patience and growth, has won the hearts of the public and the jury, demonstrating that Italian music still has a lot to say.
Rebecca's journey at the CPM has been a crescendo of creativity and skill acquisition. Thanks to the teaching of nationally and internationally renowned professors such as Dome Bulfaro, Alberto Cipolla, Mell Morcone, Andrea Rodini, Gregor Ferretti, and Diego Michelon, and to a stimulating environment, the young singer-songwriter has refined her songwriting and composition skills, developing a unique style.
Rebecca Pecoriello's story is an invitation for all young music enthusiasts to invest in their education and believe in their dreams. The CPM Music Institute is a place where passion for music meets educational excellence, offering students the opportunity to become the musicians of the future.
The CPM Music Institute, with its highly specialized courses and a complete educational offer, provides students with the necessary tools to successfully face the challenges of the music market. Thanks to the experience of the teachers, numerous collaborations with industry professionals, and internship opportunities, CPM students can develop a valuable network of contacts for their future career.
The Songwriting course, entrusted to a team of highly experienced and prestigious teachers, is a real songwriting laboratory where students have the opportunity to refine their creative skills, experiment with different styles and musical genres, and develop a personal expressive language. The backbone of the course is the constant practice of writing, aimed at cultivating intuition, instinct, and the ability to communicate emotions through music and words.
Rebecca's satisfaction: "Winning the Zecchino d'Oro was a surprise. We wrote this song mainly to exorcise our fear of the future. In a society that always wants us to be hyperproductive, perfect, and in a hurry, and that often makes us feel behind, we wanted to remember the generous and slow times of nature, of how life itself is a gift to be lived in all its seasons without being in too much of a hurry to discover what the final destination will be."
Congratulations Rebecca, from everyone at the CPM!
