Michael Fantoni
He is an established bassist and associate professor at CPM where he teaches Electric Bass and Ensemble Music in the Junior courses . His passion for music and his deep knowledge of the instrument make him a point of reference for many young students.
He began studying classical piano at the age of 11. His musical path then brought him closer to the Electric Bass and, having moved to Milan, he graduated from the BAC Electric Bass course , under the guidance of Maestro Dino D'Autorio . At CPM he also completed a year of High Specialization and successfully attended the Preparing for Teaching Prospective course , the course aimed at students of the AFAM , BAC and DIP courses who have achieved the required average and the prerequisites necessary for admission. It is a path that takes the form of a 1-year practical internship that includes support and assistance from Department Heads and teachers with many years of experience within our Music school. During his studies he participated and played, accompanying artists and guests such as Zibba , Lorenzo Fragola , Beppe Dettori , Cristina Donà , Wrongonyou , Alexia , Gabriele Comeglio . "In CPM I was lucky enough to study with teachers who, to this day, I look up to with extreme admiration for their ability to transmit passion and love for Music in their lessons. It is precisely for this reason that, in turn, I wanted to undertake a path as a teacher and I am grateful to have been able to start right inside CPM. In the same way, in those years of study I found friends, now colleagues, with whom I shared hours and hours in the study room and thanks to whom I began to work, once I finished my studies."
