Dave Weckl Masterclass 

Masterclass open to CPM students and external guests organized by Ponderosa Music&art for the Milanese music festival JAZZMI, in collaboration with the CPM Music Institute.

The masterclass is part of the calendar of the 9th edition of JAZZMI, a Milanese music festival which from 17 October to 13 November brings not only Jazz music to theatres, clubs and alternative spaces, but also films, exhibitions and meetings with artists . Dave Weckl himself will be the protagonist on November 6th with the project The Dave Weckl/Tom Kennedy Project at the Teatro Triennale Milano. Participants will have the opportunity to ask for insights into musical, stylistic and improvisational aspects and to interact with one of the most influential and technically gifted jazz/fusion drummers of all time.

Dave Weckl, born in 1960, is a world-renowned American drummer, teacher, session musician and producer, considered one of the most influential jazz/fusion drummers. His numerous collaborations with artists of the caliber of George Benson, Chick Corea, Paul Simon, Art Garfunkel, Michel Camilo, Madonna, Mike Stern, Frank Gambale, John Patitucci, Jeff Berlin, Michael Brecker, Diana Ross, Robert Plant, Lee Ritenour, Alan Pasqua, Marco Mendoza, Brandon Fields Group, Oz Noy. He is the leader of his own group, the Dave Weckl Band Project.
