All of us at CPM congratulate the winner of the 74th edition of Sanremo, Angelina Mango and Mahmood.
Mahmood, who this year participated in the Festival with the song "Tuta Gold" was the winner of the 69th edition of the Sanremo Festival, triumphing at the Ariston Theater with "Soldi", it was the evening of Saturday 09 February 2019. After 3 years, in 2022, with the song "Brividi", performed together with Blanco, he won the 72nd edition of the Festival again.
Born in 1992, Alessandro “Mahmood” Mahmoud studied singing here at CPM with teachers Tommaso Ferrarese and Andrea Rodini.
In 2017 the CPM was the protagonist at the Milan Music Week with the meeting: Mango: a brilliant voice artist. The meeting aimed to underline the contribution of Pino Mango as one of the symbolic artists of Italian Popular Music, tracing the uniqueness of his technical-expressive abilities as an artist and experimenter of the voice. An event that developed over a conversation between Franco Mussida and Laura Valente, artist and life partner of his. In addition to our students, important guests and friends such as Enrico Ruggeri, Mario Luzzatto Fegiz, Mara Maionchi, Alberto Salerno and Paola Gallo also attended to trace the stages of a unique career.
Today, our congratulations and best wishes go to his daughter Angelina Mango, winner of the 74th edition of Sanremo with the song "La Noia" and who the CPM had the pleasure of having on the stage of the Castello Sforzesco in 2022 as a special guest at the 4th ° summer review of the Municipality of Milan: “Milan is alive - Songs to make us better”.
