Moving to Milan is an important step. After Rome, it is the second most populous municipality in Italy, the capital of fashion and design, a destination for fast-growing international tourism with a significant economic impact, Milan is an ever-living city that offers many possibilities.

Those who find themselves catapulted into this reality for the first time may find themselves disoriented: this is why our Music School has decided to gather advice and guidance for those moving to Milan.

Moreover, being based in a city full of initiatives, fairs and events is a privilege for CPM and for those enrolled in our courses: over the years, our Music school has in fact created and enriched a network of relationships with the world of work and with cultural realities, instrument stores, agencies that manage housing...activating conventions for our students.

Discovering Milan

If you want to visit the city in the guise of a tourist, find all the information about monuments, museums and places of interest in the city of Milan, and the entire Lombardy region, on the In Lombardia website, where you will find a section dedicated to Milan.

Getting around Milan: public transportation
The public transport system in the city of Milan is managed by ATM (Azienda Trasporti Milanesi), whose app we recommend you download, and consists of:

5 subway lines (M Lines: M1 red, M2 green, M3 yellow, M4 blue, M5 lilac),
11 suburban lines (S Lines: S1, S2, S3, S4, S5, S6, S7, S8, S9, S11, S13),
11 FerrovieNord lines, including the Malpensa Express,
18 urban streetcar lines
More than 80 bus and trolleybus lines

In addition, on the ATM website you will find all the useful information not only for getting around the city, but also for buying a season ticket for public transport and alerts on the situations of the various metro and non-metro lines.
